Show MoreThe best part about the Shaka Guide app is that it tells you exactly which stops to make and which ones to skip so you can get back to your starting point before sunset. Great history and stories on the way down the mountain is like listening to a podcast. And local music is amazing. I cannot survive the road to Hana without Shaka Guide apps. kudos to Shaka Guide team

Nelson Dorantes | 2 days ago | AndroidFabulous audio travel guides! Now covers the Four Corners/Great Circle. Just did a 2 1/2 week tour of many parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase/Escalante, Capital Reef, Goblin Valley, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley (and the roads to/from), and Grand Canyon (South). Shaka Guide had audio tours for all of them and more! They all worked excellently on my Android phone and Honda sound system (also on park shuttles!). Gave us countless helpful tips/sights we would have missed.

The Library of Congress, located directly across the street, is the largest library in the world and one of the most architecturally stunning buildings in the city — free timed-entry tickets are available online. The Supreme Court of the United States is also steps away and open to visitors on weekdays, with free building tours and limited seating available for oral arguments.
The Folger Shakespeare Library, home to the world’s largest collection of Shakespeare’s printed works, is nearby and free to enter with a suggested donation. The US Botanic Garden, at the base of the Capitol grounds, is a free indoor and outdoor conservatory open seven days a week. Show MoreVisitors to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. should plan for a full day to make the most of the area. Shaka Guide’s Capitol Hill Walking Tour takes approximately 2 to 4 hours to complete, covering 14 stops on a clockwise loop around the Capitol building.
If you plan to go inside any of the major buildings, budget additional time: a guided Capitol tour typically takes 60 to 90 minutes, a self-guided visit to the Library of Congress can take 1 to 2 hours, and exploring the Supreme Court and the Folger Shakespeare Library each adds another 30 to 60 minutes.
Arriving early in the morning allows you to complete the walking tour, visit the buildings, and still have time for lunch at Eastern Market or nearby restaurants before heading out.
