Important Update!
Hey BRP friends,
A quick heads-up as you plan your drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
Between mileposts 112.4 and 121.4, there’s a multi-year road construction project currently underway. Because of this, you may encounter single-lane traffic and occasional slowdowns while traveling through this section of the parkway.
I know construction isn’t exactly what anyone hopes for on a scenic drive, but the good news is that the Blue Ridge Parkway is still very much open and incredibly beautiful. Delays are usually manageable, and in many cases traffic is guided safely through the work zones. Our Shaka Guide tour will continue to navigate you along the route, sharing stories, history, and tips so you can relax and enjoy the journey—even if things slow down a bit.
My biggest recommendation is to allow yourself some extra time, take it easy, and treat this stretch as part of the adventure. Sometimes those unexpected pauses are the perfect excuse to soak in the views a little longer.
Thanks for traveling with Shaka Guide and for supporting the care and preservation of places like the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you ever have questions along the way, we’re always happy to help.
Safe travels and happy exploring,
— Amy (Blue Ridge Parkway tour tester)
